Join us on November 8th at the CCoE virtual Town Hall.
Joining us this month is Vipul Kumar, director of Cyber Range Poulsbo, Washington’s cloud based educational cyber range for teaching and learning cybersecurity. Students across the state can access state-of-the-art cybersecurity exercises with a basic computer and internet connection.
Vipul will demo the newest version of the cyber range and highlight the catalog of exercises.

Check here regularly as we build this collection of overviews. The list will grow as we continue to meet with community and technical colleges that offer cybersecurity programs. We'll ask questions such as the key differentiators of each program, the types of jobs they train for, student demographics and campus culture. Where an institution has earned the CAE-CD, we'll discuss the effects and benefits.

Join us on Zoom Oct 11 while special guest, Chris Lamb, explains the Enterprise Cloud Computing Program (ECCP) for Washington state's public agencies and municipalities. [9 to 10 AM PST]
The ECCP was created by WaTech to provide leadership, governance, guidance, and resources to accelerate the strategic adoption of cloud technologies across Washington state government.
The overall mission of the ECCP is to accelerate efforts to modernize and transform the state information technology services that Washingtonians require by embracing cloud technology. This is an integral part of WaTech's efforts to create a "connected government" where residents and visitors can access state government services more easily and directly.
During the scoping and assessment phase, an IT Staff Impact Analysis was conducted among state agencies that will be migrating resources to the cloud and offering cloud-based resources to consumers. Skill sets among existing IT staff were analyzed and gaps were assessed. Opportunities and recommendations for training were identified. Industries in WA that are planning cloud migrations will be interested to hear Chris Lamb speak about the ECCP strategy. Educators in Cloud and Cybersecurity will benefit from hearing about the skills that the ECCP recommends developing among IT staff.

The Cybersecurity Center of Excellence has funding for community and technical college instructors teaching cybersecurity in Washington state. The CCoE has approved funding for online certifications, in-person conferences, workshops, and teacher academies. Have something in mind?
