Jennifer Sunshine Steffens

Jennifer Sunshine Steffens is Chief Executive Officer at IOActive, the worldwide leader in research-fueled security services. In her role, she drives the company’s strategic vision and direction, leading the company to be recognized as one of the industry’s most important companies of the last 30 years by SC Media in 2019. Jennifer brings a wealth of industry and business experience to the company, having been an early member of several successful startups.

Lauded by Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Information Security Magazine, and many more, she received SC Magazine’s Reboot Leadership Award for Top Management in 2017 and Thought Leadership in 2019 as well as CV Magazine’s IT Security CEO of the Year 2018. and was named to National Diversity Council’s Power 50. She serves as a judge for numerous award programs and is a frequent speaker at events around the world.

Earlier in her career, she held leadership positions at ground-breaking companies such as Sourcefire and NFR Security. Prior to joining IOActive, Jennifer joined fledgling startup GraniteEdge to help drive their reinvention, leading initiatives to restructure the company and develop a product strategy that ultimately led to a successful acquisition.
