Expanding Cybersecurity Curriculum in Washington State
The CCOE has been approved for funding, pending State Board adoption, to develop cybersecurity lab curricula for community college students in Washington State.
The CCoE will soon have funds to develop curricula for community colleges to deploy at the Cyber Range Poulsbo. The addition of the curricula will give students and instructors access to updated labs and instructional elements for their current classes. And students will be able to access the lab from the Internet with minimal computer requirements, which means greater access for all students.
Do you have lab curricula or modules you want to create? Complete the “Developing Lab Curricula to Engage Students” form if you are interested. The CCoE is gathering input from community college instructors, with special emphasis on Washington State, to create or modify existing curriculum for the Cyber Range in Poulsbo. An application will be going out later this month. Instructors will be eligible to receive a stipend.
