Angela Kleis

Angela Kleis is the Director of Policy and External Affairs at WaTech. She leads the agency's policy direction, overseeing both legislative and enterprise technology policies that impact the entire organization and its IT operations. Angela also manages the agency’s external engagement strategy.

Before joining WaTech, Angela worked with the Washington State Senate as the Staff Coordinator/Analyst for the Environment, Energy & Technology Committee. In this non-partisan role, she supported all 49 Senators by organizing committee hearings, drafting legislation, conducting policy research, and liaising with interested parties from both the public and private sectors.

Angela holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and an M.S. in International Relations from Troy University. She is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional.
